How does Chef Dimi works?

Chef Dimi is an amazing culinary experience. From lively dinner parties to intimate date nights, holiday feasts and corporate grazings, we cater delicious events up to 50 people.

 

Start by finding a menu that takes your fancy and popping in an inquiry. We get in touch with you for take care of every delicious details of your menu.

 

On the day of your event, Chef Dimi arrives with all the ingredients, cooks in your kitchen, serves, and even cleans up afterwards, so all you need to do is EAT AND ENJOY!

Where does Chef Dimi cater?

Chef Dimi offers a local and private service, mostly in Marbella, from Fuengirola to Estepona.

What kind of events Chef Dimi cater?

Whatever your type of party is, Chef Dimi can cater it!

 

Romantic events as surprise proposals, engagement parties, honeymoons, anniversaries and small weddings.

 

Parties like girls night, baby showers, birthdays and other celebrations.

 

Corporate events as customer affiliations, wine tasting shows and any other team celebration.

Can Chef Dimi come to my holiday place?

Of course we can! In fact, most of our events are held in your vacation places. We just have to make sure beforehand that the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary tools.

How long does the service usually take?

It really depends on your style of event and menu. For catering events, you decide if Chef Dimi serve and leave or stay to serve gradually. For private chef experiences, will serve your courses as they would come out at a restaurant. For both catering and private chef experiences, Chef Dimi will arrive a couple of hours before the event to start prepping.

 

When your guests arrive and what time you eat is up to you. We will discuss this with you to work out timings for Chef Dimi on the day.

Do I have to clean up afterwards?

Definitely not! That’s one of the best things about booking an experience with Chef Dimi: she preps, cooks, serves, and cleans, so all you need to worry about is enjoying yourself.

 

The only thing worse than throwing a party and being stuck in the kitchen all night is waking up to a mess. Many hosts tell us their chef left the kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived!

What kitchen equipment do I need to provide?

We will discuss previously these details with you, but you can also find a required equipment list at how it works page. Here is a general guide:

 

Oven, stove, microwave, pots, pans, general kitchen utensils, chopping boards, cleared fridge and freezer shelf, 1x entrée plate, main plate, knife, fork and spoon per guest.

Will Chef Dimi come back to collect equipment afterwards?

Usually not, but in some instances Chef Dimi may need to come back to collect some of the servingware she has used. Collection is arranged before the event at a convenient time that suits the Chef and host, within 48 hours after the event.

Can Chef Dimi supply equipment in case we don't have?

Sure we can! When we discuss about your event, you have to specify what you need. We can provide glasses, plates, cutlery, kitchen utensils, table settings, barbecue and some decoration.

Will Chef Dimi set the table for me?

To your liking! Some hosts prefer to do it themselves, others trust the chef. Remember to specify it to carry the necessary table settings.

When is the latest I can book?

The more notice you can give us the better, but we understand sometimes plans can be difficult to nail down. One weeks is generally the latest notice period we can manage as Chef Dimi do book up quickly, and even then it can be tricky.

 

Our advice is to pop your enquiry in as early as possible so we can start checking Chef Dimi's availability, and we can always look at new dates if needed.

I’m not sure on final numbers yet; when do you need to know by?

Not to worry! We know it can be hard to manage a group's schedule. We recommend confirming your booking with the minimum guests you’re expecting. You can then add on more guests leading 3 days up to your event.

PAYMENT

How much does Chef Dimi cost?

Difficult to answer. Keep in mind that it is a personalized service that includes the chef, maybe a waiter, the products, equipment and the hours of cooking, service and cleaning.

 

Once we have discussed your menu, we will give you a price per person so you can decide.

Is there an extra charge if I need a waiter?

Chef Dimi is on hand to cook, serve, and clean up, but in case of more than 8 guest we may bring a service waiter, this will depend on your style event.

 

Adding a service waiter is generally up to the Chef, but if you personally would like a waiter to come along and it is not a requirement, this would come at an extra cost. Please contact us to discuss the details.

When do I need to pay by?

Once we have discussed and decided your menu, you will need to make a reservation of €150 to secure the day of your event.

 

Once your event is finished, you must pay the rest of your invoice within 1-3 days.

 

In case of cancellation, the €150 of the reservation will not be refunded.

How do I make the payment?

We will send you a bank account number where you must transfer both your reservation and the rest of your bill.

How can I access my invoice?

When you make your reservation, we will send you via e-mail your invoice with all details of your menu for the reservation payment. If you made changes just before the event, at the end we will send you a new updated invoice.
